Exercise: Good or bad for immunity?
Regular exercise is one of the pillars of healthy living. It improves cardiovascular health, lowers blood pressure, helps control body weight, and protects against a variety of diseases.
But does it help to boost your immune system naturally and keep it healthy?
Just like a healthy diet, exercise can contribute to general good health and therefore to a healthy immune system. It may contribute even more directly by promoting good circulation, which allows the cells and substances of the immune system to move through the body freely and do their job efficiently.
THERE IS NO LAW REGARDING SOCIAL DISTANCING
It is your choice to social distance in the club. We won't be enforcing anything that is NOT a law.
Social distancing is not an established health care concept and certainly not one in the Public Health.
The whole idea of S.D. was based theoretically on a model explored by a high school student in a science fair some years ago looking at how an infectious disease might hypothetically spread as the result in a potential exposure amongst kids at school.
In other words it was never scientifically based as a method for responding to a pandemic.
There is no scientific evidence that social distancing reduces the spread of any virus.!
It is down to the individual customer to take reasonable personal responsibility when taking part in
If you choose to use a sanitiser then you should bring your own product.
You must bring a small towel and water bottle with you on all visits to the club.
Its obvious if you are ill STAY AT HOME!
It's your duty to take full responsibility of yourself and your own actions especially in the club.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION – PLEASE READ
This emergency action plan has been written up in the event that Round One needs to close for a short period of time. Clearly, this is an on-going, rapidly developing situation and we are taking best advice at all times on how we can deal with this.
THE NEXT 7 DAYS
As of now there will be no change to the Round One’s training schedule unless we are advised differently however, we do wish to remind everyone to maintain strong hygiene protocols at all times. Wash your hands thoroughly before and after every training session, use your own hand gel and use your own training equipment which should also be cleaned and disinfected before and after use. If you or anyone in your family have any cold like symptoms, please do not attend classes.
We will continue to ensure that Round One is clean and hygienic (as always) and will increase our levels of daily cleaning.
We will continue to monitor the National and Local situation on an hourly basis and will respond appropriately to all the professional medical advice provided.
IF WE HAVE TO CLOSE
If we have to close for the on-going safety of us all we have a plan in-place to make sure you can continue your training at home with on-line training sessions which will be made available either through our FB page or over another platform called ZOOM (www.zoom.com). Mobile apps can be used.
WHAT WE ARE GIVING AWAY
We will be giving away our brand-new online training program (RRP £299) completely FREE. This will allow you to carry on learning the sweet science in the comfort of your own home. This online program will give you the chance to accelerate your techniques and encourage a real understanding of boxing.
OUR EXISTING TERMS & CONDITIONS
We will NOT be allowing any cancellation of memberships during the outbreak. Please remember if you cancel there will probably be no boxing club to come back to and we will be forced to take recovery action for anything owed. See our terms here https://www.focusma.co.uk/terms-conditions/ This though is something we do NOT want to engage in at all.
THE MOST IMPORTANT THING
The most important thing is that we all work together as a community so that we can survive this challenging situation. Your support is essential if we are to get through this. We are all in the same boat so we all need to be rowing with each other.
We thank you all for your support and we are confident that we can all get through this together.
Stay well, stay safe and stay healthy…… keep training as it boosts immunity!

For your information, it advises you to self-isolate, regardless of travel history or contact with confirmed cases, IF YOU HAVE:
a. A new continuous cough and/or
b. High temperature (of 37.8 degrees centigrade or higher)
It’s very important that you do not enter Round One.
Here’s the positive bit…
However, if you are feeling fit and well, we are operating our classes as normal and we would love you to continue your normal workout sessions with us.
Staying healthy and fit is more important than ever at the moment. UK Active, the UK's leading not-for-profit health body for the physical activity sector, has stated that “being fit and healthy is an important deterrent to the risk of infection in the first place. It’s therefore crucial that members of the public continue to lead active lives throughout this period, whether that is using your local gym, walking or cycling to work, or doing the gardening.” Their full statement is available here https://tinyurl.com/s8pqk7c
We are continuing to monitor the situation and will take all appropriate measures necessary to protect our members, employees and local communities.
Keeping everyone safe and healthy is our main priority.
Everyone at Round One hope you and your families stay healthy and safe during this time.
Please call Brian for any information regardless of its nature on 07708844777
